He refers to himself as a “permanent fixture in the New York rock ‘n’ roll broadcast community” and Jimmy Fink is that and more.  From WPLJ to WXRK and now 107.1 The Peak, Jimmy has become a legendary on-air personality in his 4-decade run on the radio. For the past 24 seasons Terrence O’Brien has held equal sway in the theater community.   As Founding Artistic Director of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, he has provided audiences with a fresh, hip, edgy, and accessible approach to Shakespeare’s plays. On Thursday, July 15, Between Rock and a Bard Place will find Fink and O’Brien sharing the CrossTalk conversation at the Katonah Museum of Art (katonahmuseum.org), We can’t wait to find out where these two dynamic voices lead us. Pupperty Around the World

Pupperty Around the World

The Katonah Museum of Art (www.katonahmuseum.org) will present Puppetry Around the World in The Learning Center from February 28 through June 13, 2010.  Classic puppet forms from around the world, including marionettes, shadow puppets, and hand puppets will be on view in conjunction with the Museum’s main exhibition The Art of Contemporary Puppet Theater.  Young visitors will enjoy such classics as Bil Baird’s Flannel Mouse and an original Jim Henson Muppet.  Continue Reading
